This beautiful handmade quilt was created by Chester County Bird Club’s member, Diane McKinney. Diane has made quilts and donated them to various other parrot related organizations for fundraising efforts. This year, CCBC was the recipient of one of her beautiful quilts! Our membership has decided that the proceeds will be donated to the American Federation of Aviculture (AFA). The AFA Conservation and Research Projects need your help!! The AFA has several projects running now: · Slender-billed Conure Nesting ecology · PDD Research at Texas A&M University · Spix’s Macaw project in Brazil · Cuban Conure Nest project through Loro Parque Foundation, Canary Islands, Spain
This is a win win Fundraiser. If you buy raffle tickets for a chance to win this gorgeous quilt, you will be helping the AFA with their conservation and research projects! The drawing will take place on October 31, 2009 at 4PM. We will hold the drawing at our CCBC Bird Show and Mart at the CFS—School at Church Farm, 1001 East Lincoln HWY, Exton PA 19341. You do not need to be present to win.
To purchase raffle tickets: please send your check to Chester County Bird Club, 48 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. All checks are to be made payable to the Chester County Bird Club. Tickets are $5.00 a piece or 5 tickets for $20.00. The quilt will be shown live at the at Bird Paradise on October 16, 17 and 18th. |

We will be displaying this quilt at our club meetings and at all the events we attend from now until the drawing of the lucky winner!!! |
